Is there anything you would like us to know about your experience using Course Connect?
We need more access to grades on there, not necessarily in the beginning but towards the end of the semester I would like to know where I stand.
I liked it. Don't know if students will ever get into the whole personalization of it.
I really like the product. Needs improvement on the assignment/grading section.
I was not able to upload one of my assignments.
it seems like my teachers forgot that it exsisted, and by second semester had resorted back to emailing assignments insteaded of posting them.
I really enjoyed course connect and wish that more of my classes would use it. It was very useful to have access to readings, handouts, and schedules from any computer or on my phone. I also liked uploading assingments and recieving feedback through the site. It makes staying on top ov classwork much more easy for people that are on the go alot.
Nope
Used it for one class was helpful. Used black board in high school and LOVED IT!!!
Loved it! Very useful in distributing handouts.
IT SHOULD REMAIN AVAILABLE FOLLOWING GRADUATION!
It was great but I felt it was under utilized by the faculty and it gave me problems downloading files with Firefox.
Sometimes it was hard to open files on personal computers.
I think it is great.
It was pretty useful, but sometimes, the system needs to be more organized and updated. unorganized & not updated enough
most professors do not use it
I do not like course connect.
Yes, if teachers are going to use the course connect they should use it correctly, as in, actually post grades on it.
I would be nice to be able to see grades that we made on particular assignments, but that might have just been our teacher not posting them onto Course Connect.
Best thing implemented at Millsaps! I love the fact that I could go on the computer at 3am and look at my current grade. I also could see any assignments I was missing. I think it should be implemented in every class.
Very helpful to my communication with my teacher so much easier
i like it a lot. i can see my grades when i like, and my assignments and schedule. it's great!
Does not work well with Safari. At all.
I had one teacher this semester who used course connect to organize our grades. My name somehow got confused with another. Instead of NAME, ANOTHER NAME was listed. Neither I or my teacher could figure out how to change it, and I was therefore unable to check any of my grades for the class.
There needs to be a way to get off of class accounts; I dropped a class this semester but can't figure out how to get it off my class list on CourseConnect. I really love this app, and it has made administrative tasks within classes so much easier. Thanks! (NOTE: Let helpdesk know if you need to be removed from a course in course connect)
Grading, especially if not simply an average of several grades, is inaccurate.
I like it a lot, especially for teachers posting class notes, power points, grades, etc. But I think there needs to a more concerted effort to get all the faculty to use it. Especially in cases where there are multiple teachers; both need to use it, not just one.
no
It is great!
I wish more professors utilized it; it would clean up our e-mail inboxes and save students some trouble.
It would nice if teachers actually posted grades up there so we track our grades or there was a way to see the grade book so that we can double check that our grades are being entered correctly.
I don't like it. Not all that helpful.
I think more professors should use it. It can cut down on email and be used to keep track of our grades/post them.
Molly has been great! It's been a wonderful tool for class and comprehensive exams. I didn't have any trouble learning it.
I had a wonderful time using Course Connect. It is very simple. ^_^
I wish that there were a way to more easily upload documents to the system. I would also like to be able to transfer some things from one course to another without having to just do everything from scratch. I think the grade book is also a little difficult to use but I just download it to excel.
I wish it was mandatory for every teacher to use it.
We used course connect mostly for uploading homework assignments which were not just done in a word format. If millsaps plans on continuing to use this software/program, I would suggest they look into purchasing a few better scanners.
It was very useful. I hope that files can stay up for at least five years, since I will be recycling material in multiple courses.
I wanted to be able to review a student's submissions for the semester but could not find a way to do that.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET REGISTRATION ONLINE.
I hope we can continue to make improvements to Course Connect. Having an online space for each of my classes is integral to my teaching, since I use it both for communication with students and as a site for them to do important learning activities such as group discussion. Course Connect is not very user friendly, however -- it's not intuitive, the interface is clunky and unappealing, and it's capabilities are extremely limited compared to other course management systems I have used.
I found out that every file only can upload 3 documents, it is not enough
we need to get more technological at this school...prof.s should be required to post everything on course connect. there would be less confusion about grades and assignments
Would like more opportunities for training. Inability to upload large files caused problems.
It was very helpful, especially during exams, because my classmates and I would create study guides online that any one from the class could view and edit.
It's great!
It seems to me that there are too many options on Course Connect and that the icons and procedures are a bit arcane. The calendar and archive functions are complicated and unintuitive. I felt like I'd have to relearn the whole thing every couple of weeks. If only we had student workers who could do these tasks for us!
Course Connect is really easy to use.
It was a bit of a hassle.
not many of my teachers used it, so I did not have too much experience with it.
The only thing was that sometimes on school PC's the window would only open up to a certain size and it could not be increased or decreases in size. Other than this it was great.
